To undertake this procedure, you will need a particular valve spring compressor. An alternative is to dismantle the engine heavily removing the timing chains and camshafts. Before commencing start by placing the transmission in park, apply parking brake or block the rear wheels and disable the ignition system. Remove the valve cover(s). Separate and put away rocker arms and lash adjusters properly labeled. Rotate engine’s crankshaft clockwise until pistons are at their correct positions.
